Divine Preordainments

 

 “And the Command of Allah is a decree determined.” (V.33:38)

 

The truth about the mystery of this life is that everything that will happen from beginning until the end has been predetermined by Allah.

Everything is pre-planned including the good, the bad and the tragic, nothing is left out in the master blueprint of Our Creator.

Everything occurs according to the Will of Allah, this is so true that we must firmly believe it in our heart to be so, if we are to remain on the right of path of Islam.

The following hadith from Sahih Bukhari narrated by Usama explains this further:

“Once while I was with the Prophet and Sa`d, Ubai bin Ka`b and Mu`adh were also sitting with him, there came to him a messenger from one of his daughters, telling him that her child was on the verge of death.

The Prophet told the messenger to tell her, it is for Allah what He takes, and it is for Allah what He gives, and everything has its fixed time (limit).

So (she should) be patient and look for Allah's reward.”

Though the Quran underscores the sovereignty of Allah and the responsibility of humankind, yet the Quran simultaneously highlights the fact that nothing can happen if Allah (SWT) never wills.

Therefore, we should embrace self-compassion, then seek Allah’s forgiveness whenever we make mistakes and also adopt patient forbearance when we face any life tragedy that is far beyond our power and comprehension.

Never forget, everything has its fixed time span.

In the end, we belong to Allah (SWT) and to Him we shall return.

    Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Allah will gather the servants naked, uncircumcised, and destitute.”   We said, “What is destitute?” The Prophet said, “They will have nothing with them. A heavenly caller will announce with a voice from afar: I am the King. It is not befitting for anyone from the people of Paradise to enter Paradise while anyone from the people of Hellfire is seeking redress for injustice.
