Three Behaviours of True Believers

Today, our focus is on eemaan (faith).

Eemaan (faith) is sometimes a tricky thing to evaluate as a significant portion of it is purely a matter of the heart.

However, some aspects of eemaan has to do with our actions. And out of many possible good deeds, three actions are so relevant to true belief that our Prophet (SAW) mentioned them in a complete hadith.

Now, let’s get down to the tradition of Imam Bukhari below to understand what I mean. Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that; The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not hurt his neighbor.

And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his guest generously.

And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should speak what is good or keep silent."

Therefore, if you want to boost your eemaan in a practical way on any given day, just do any one of these three things: refrain from hurting your neighbour, serve your guest very well and say nothing (to others and even yourself) but good.

May Allah (SWT) grant us the ability to do every good and cease every evil. Aameen
