Martyrs

 

From the following authentic hadith in Sunnan Abī Dāwūd, we shall learn various means by which Muslims can exit this world and meet Allah as a honored martyr.

Jabir ibn ‘Atik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said

“There are seven martyrs besides one who is killed in the way of Allah:

The victim of plague is a martyr,

The one who drowns is a martyr,

The one who dies of chest pain is a martyr,

The one who dies of stomach infection is a martyr,

The one who burns to death is a martyr,

The one who is crushed under something is a martyr,

And the pregnant woman who dies giving labor is a martyr.”

May Allah—in His Infinite Mercy—make me and you die a glorious death as a martyr. Aameen

Tie Your Camel and Put Your Trust in Allah (SWT)

    In an authentic hadith from Sunan al-Tirmidhi ̄, a man asked the Prophet an important question that clarifies how to rely on Allah (SWT) as the Almighty Lord Who has Power over all things. Forgiveness Is Not Stupidity

    Allah said in Surah al-Ma’idah 5:45:       وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ   We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution.
